Nominated Redditch People
Throughout the history of Redditch there have been individual who, though position, ingenuity or hard work, have stood out with significance in the towns development.
In 2016 the Redditch Local History Society sought nominations for people who have “Influenced the growth or reputation of Redditch or have served the community in the town”.
From the input received, and detailed research by many people, both members and non-members of the society, an exhibition was mounted at Forge Mill featuring those people nominated.
Following that exhibition further nominations were received, some of whom have been researched and documented.
This e-book has been created from the project work.
The contents, as mentioned, were the result of work by many peoples who gave their permission to display that work at the Forge Mill exhibition. It it reproduced here for the benefit and enjoyment of visitors to our Virtual Museum on the assumption that permissions given for the exhibition also include the publication of material in this format.
On that basis we hope you enjoy reading about the nominated Redditch People and respect ownership of all the contributors original work.
